Dear advocates,

The amount of vacancies (of the staff) for the post of public defender for 2017 is 19, precisely:

1. Ararat region – two vacancies, one full vacancy of criminal direction, one 0,25 vacancy of civil and administrative direction.  

2. Armavir region – one full vacancy of criminal direction.   

3. Gegharkunik region - one 0,5 vacancy of criminal direction.

4. Lori region – two 0, 5 vacancies of criminal direction.

5. Kotayk region – three vacancies - two 0,5 vacancies of criminal direction, one 0, 25 vacancy of civil and administrative direction.  

6. Shirak region – two 0,5 vacancies of criminal direction.

7. Syunik region – two vacancies; one 0,5 vacancy of criminal direction,  one 0,25 vacancy of criminal direction.

8.Vayotz Dzor region - one 0.5 vacancy of criminal direction.  

9. Yerevan city – four vacancies 4 full vacancies of criminal direction.

  10. Yerevan city - 1 full vacancy of civil and administrative direction.

Taking into account the aforementioned and keeping in mind the fact that circumstance that practically the vacancies for public defender post can occur not only in the end of the year, but also during the year, as also that, in case of necessity preference in concluding working contracts of hourly paid rates in the office of Public Defender is given to advocates who had been enlisted as candidates for the post of a public defender, but hadn’t been involved.  

For 2017 to get down to public defender’s work the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia (henceforth the Chamber) announces the following competitions(henceforth Competition):

1) a competition of appointing public defenders of civil and administrative direction: in order to complement the vacancies of public defenders in Yerevan city and regions.

2) a competition of appointing public defenders of criminal direction: in order to complement the vacancies of public defenders in Yerevan city and regions.

We want to inform you that:

1) The written phase of the competition will be held by the following address:  RA, Yerevan city, Zaqyan 2 street (The School of Advocates of RA, 3-rd floor) on the 28-th of November 2016, at 11.00.

2) To take part in the competition you can apply till the 24-th of November inclusive: each working day from 10:00 to 17:00; RA, Yerevan city, Zaqyan 2 street, 4-th floor.

3) applications sent by email won’t be considered as accepted, if the Chamber of Advocates of RA actually receives the envelope after the 24-th of November 2016.   

4)  The written phase of the competition lasts 4 (four) hours.  

5)  The candidate who has succeeded in the written phase of the competition will be invited to an interview   According to the 4.11 point of the “Order about the holding of a competition for the post of a public defender” (henceforth the Order) that had been affirmed by the Decision of the Council from the 15-th of January 2014 num. 01/7-L.
