Today, on February 6, 25 students from the 9th-12th grades of "Ohanyan" educational complex were hosted at the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia.
Mane Karapetyan, the Chief of Staff of the CoA, presented the functions of public defenders and the conditions for representation or protection in court cases.

At the School of Advocates, the students got acquainted with admission conditions and educational methods. Deputy Director of the School, Artak Gevorgyan presented to the future colleagues the admission procedure, mentioning that admission and qualification exams are built with such a mechanism that the human factor is reduced.

Continuing the tour in the administrative building of the Chamber of Advocates of RA, Mane Karapetyan spoke about the structure of the Chamber of Advocates, the model of management and bodies of the Chamber, such as the General Meeting of Advocates, the Board of the Chamber of Advocates consisting of 12 members and the Head, the Qualification Commission composed of 8 members.

The Chairman of the Chamber of Advocates, Ara Zohrabyan, welcomed the students and presented the peculiarities of advocacy, answered the questions related to advocates' behavior, work and the fair trial.

The Chairman of the Chamber emphasized that a policy is being pursued to raise the level of legal awareness among the public and increase the protection of advocates.

Expressing gratitude for their interest towards advocacy, Ara Zohrabyan also expressed hope to see many of those present in the status of his partner for the future.
