Another protest action of advocates took place today.

The advocates presented a written demand to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Vahe Ghazaryan, with a call to eradicate violence from the police system, in particular, to immediately terminate the powers of the police officers who participated in the beating of the advocate, as well as the powers of the head of the Centreal Police Department of  Yerevan.

About 900 advocates joined the above-mentioned written demand within 2 days.

The rule of "prohibition of the use of violence" must be especially pursued by the system and its officials who operate on the basis of the principles of respect for human rights and freedoms, respect for honor and dignity, and any manifestation of violence, even the threat, must be eradicated from the system, regardless of whether to whom is it directed.
