RA Minister of Justice Hovhannes Manukyan and deputy minister Arsen Mktrchyan today had a meeting with the chairman of the Chamber of Advocates Ara Zohrabyan, first deputy of chairman Arthur Hovhannisyan, board members Melanya Arustamyan, Karen Mezhlumyan, Simon Babayan, Nikolay Baghdasaryan, Nelli Harutyunyan, Liparit Simonyan, Gevorg Gyozalyan, Ruben Hakobyan, Martun Panosyan and Karapet Agajanyan in Erebuni Plaza. The Minister discussed with board member the issues related to advocacy. The board members shared their concerns with the Minister, in particular, the issues related to:

• “Discretionary powers of the Cassation Court”,
• “Programs of School of Advocates”,
• “Constitutional legitimacy and legitimacy of order of enforcement proceedings concerning charging operations of administrative penalties without judicial act”,
• “Discretionary powers and transparency of the Council of Justice”, “Legitimacy of applying in regard to physical persons of concentration regime by the RA Economic Competition Commission”,
• “Detention as preventive measure and sustenance of detainees”,
• “Limitation of access of advocates to the penitentiary territories in non-working hours and days”.

RA Minister of Justice highlighting the importance of working behavior to solve the issues in the healthy way of discussion, arranged a separate meeting with the chairman of the RA Chamber of Advocates in the near future in the RA Chamber of Advocates and discuss the mentioned issued in detail.
