Dear advocates,

Taking into account the presented applications of the following nominated candidates for the 11.02.2017 membership elections of the Bar Council of the Chamber of Advocates of RA Harutyun Harutyunyan, HrantAnanyan, Vrej Khachikyan, Armen Feroyan, Taron Simonyan, Arayik Ghazaryan, Sedrak Asatryan, Tigran Khurshudyan, Karen Sardaryan and Karen Mejlumyan,

according to the charter of the Chamber of Advocates of RA and the affirmed order of the chairman of the Chamber of Advocates of RA from 20.01.2017 №10-L about “The assistance in the process of organization and conduct of the common session of the Chamber of Advocates of RA” the  Chamber of Advocates of RA arranges a debate discussion between the nominated candidates for the 11.02.2017 membership elections of the Bar Council of the Chamber of Advocates of RA, that will take place on the 8-th of February 2017 at 12:00 in the big hall of “Best Western Congress” hotel (Yerevan city , Italiai str. 1, ground floor, Big Hall).

To the debate discussion are invited all the nominated candidates for the 11.02.2017 membership elections of the Bar Council of the Chamber of Advocates of RA, as also all interested advocates.   

The rules of participation in the debate discussion:

1. The emcee (is to be appointed by the Chamber of Advocates of RA), will present the candidates and in alphabetical order will give each of them the opportunity to come out with a speech during the debate discussion.    Each candidate will be given 5 minutes to deliver his speech. Taking into consideration the amount of the participants the emcee can appoint a shorter time for the speeches of all the candidates.  The speeches cannot be interrupted.  

2. The representatives of the Chamber of Advocates of RA will register the advocates willing to ask questions, and will present the emcee.

3. The emcee, according to the registered sequence, will invite the candidate who expressed a wish of asking a question.  Each advocate will have the opportunity to give one question.

4. To the questions the candidates can answer as follows:

a) if the given question is common it is to be answered by all the candidates according to the alphabetical order of their surnames, on condition that the following common question will be firstly answered by the sequent candidate,

b) if the question refers to a concrete candidate that very concrete candidate has to answer it.  

5. During the debate discussion it is prohibited to make comments, to insult the candidates or other advocates.

6. The emcee has to watch the present to keep to this order and has to remove the offensive questions.

7. The meeting can be recorded and/or video recorded.
